On the 4th of November 2019, a new restaurant concept by Michiel Deenik, chef and owner of Visaandeschelde and THE ROAST ROOM, was founded in the green heart of ING’s campus in Amsterdam Zuidoost.
On a culinary adventure
This is the third restaurant for Michiel Deenik. He is embarking on this adventure together with restaurant manager Neal Valentijn and childhood friend Jeroen van Brussel. The concept is inspired by their shared love for travelling and the culinary voyage of discovery that goes with it.
At The Traveller, a complete kitchen has been installed a.o. with Rosval Easy Cooling, the rubberless refrigerators. In this beautiful open kitchen, guests can watch the chefs at work. In addition, Rosval has also realised a serving counter for take-away dishes at the Traveller. In the commercial kitchen, heaters and refrigerated workbenches have been incorporated.
The delivery of this large kitchen had a major impact. Due to the busy traffic in the area, the kitchen had to be delivered at night. Rosval did not shy away from this and delivered and assembled the kitchen at night.
